Chi-Doä STRESS REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The challenges of today’s world can have a profound effect on stress related health risks, professional performance, productivity, efficiency, and lost work time. Chi-Doä (pronounced chee-doe) provides basic management and stress reduction tools that will benefit any work culture, institutional health promotion program, organization, and/or faith-based organization.
The Chi-Doä model provides techniques that can decreases anxiety, increase stamina (energy levels), shift the experience of pain, offer a tangible sense of healthy boundary setting, reduce physical and mental stress, improve balance, and concentrate the mind - greatly enhancing the lifestyle of any work culture and the wellness of individuals. Nationally renowned and former Health Educator for the University of Michigan Health System Program for Multicultural Health, Wasentha Young can target and tailor design a program that will provide compatibly effective stategies that will improve the quality of life in the workplace as well as the health of the individual.
Founded in the framework of Chi-Do™ are are techniques consistent with the mulitdimensional and relational researched methods for reducing stress.
Five Chi-Doä Plans:
Plan 1: Introduction(1.5 hours)
On or off-sitebasic introduction to stress reduction techniques.
Plan 2: Half-Day retreat (4 hours)
On or off-site basic instruction and discussion on tangible ways to apply the techniques while on the job
Plan 3: Single Day Retreat (8 hours)
On or off-site basic instruction, group process and discussion, and distribution of learning and maintenance material.
Plan 4: Class Series (run in 8 week sessions)
Off-site membership for employees to attend classes (once a week, 1.25 hours per session) held at the Peaceful Dragon School of Tai Chi and Qigong.
Plan 5: Custom Design Stress Reduction Wellness Program (one year)
- Development: 3 months target interviews, survey work environment and/or individuals, evaluate findings, and design a specific model for the site.
- Education: 3 months training and education in stress monitoring and reduction techniques with learning materials.
- Maintenance: 3 months direct monitoring and modification of implemented program.
- Evaluation: 3 months to produce quantative and qualitative deliverables and report findings.
Chi-Doä can be designed specifically for small or large groups - and for a diverse staff. Depending on the plan chosen, implementation can be on or off-site.
